John Banville Confirmed for Transmission #08

We are delighted to announce that an interview with Irish novelist John Banville will appear in our forthcoming issue, due out on the 25th May 2007. John won the Booker Prize in 2005 for his novel The Sea. We caught up with the outspoken author on his recent trip to Manchester.

    I have recently taught my 2 yr old daughter to respond to the question “what nationality are you?” with “Irish”. Yes, we are the bastards of europe but we are also the gonads of Joyce. (ps. i and the receiver of ‘mine’ sperm are not Irish)
