The deadline has now passed for Transmission #08 and we are currently reading all the stories. If you missed the deadline, don’t panic - it’s time to announce the next theme!
To mark our third birthday we want to shake things up a little. For Transmission #09 we want the best, and most original, British Pulp Fiction stories. What we are looking for are stories that are inspired by hard-boiled noirs, or rip-roaring adventures - we want to capture the glamour, romance and fun of the genre. We are not necessarily looking for “homages” to Dashiell Hammett or James Ellroy, but short fiction that twists the conventions, and avoids obvious cliches. Oh, and the less said about Quentin Tarantino the better…
